Our lambs are born at the end of June and are raised on fresh pasture with no herbicides or pesticides. They are never offered grain, given any antibiotics, or hormones.
Our Lamb meat is lean, mild, and very tasty. Because Katahdins are hair sheep that do not have wool, they secrete far less lanolin (the oily substance in wool). Katahdin lamb meat is therefore extremely mild. Most people find that it tastes like beef, but juicier and more tender. Give it a try and you will be hooked!
